Cultivating Liberation: Antiracism for White Folks

Cultivating Liberation:
A 6-month Antiracism Intensive for white folks

Embodying, Integrating, Clarifying our Liberatory Journeys

Deepening our understanding of our power to create change.

Accepting and owning the unique way in which each of us shows up.

Continually coming back to our innermost spirals to weaken and dismantle the cycle of white supremacy culture socialization.

Focusing more and more on how we show up.

Cultivating an inner environment that enables us to embody antiracism.

Moving steadily into aligned and sustainable action.

Let’s keep going.

Cultivating Liberation:

An Intensive

This intimate, live 6 month intensive is for participants in Embodying Antiracism who want to keep on going and for other white folks who understand antiracism is a way of life.  The theme of this round is deepening, integrating, strengthening.

During our time together, we will be continuing to build an antiracist foundation from the inside out (while not forgetting the importance of showing up imperfectly…this is not a linear journey). We will work to better understand our influence to effect change, and also strengthen our ability to wipe ourselves off and get back in action when we mess up.

This time, in addition to the study of the Cycle of Socialization, we will be focusing on Harro’s Cycle of Liberation. We will be deeply examining the characteristics of white supremacy culture and deliberately moving against the grains of supremacy in our relationships with self, family, and community.

Characteristics we will examine include conflict avoidance/niceness, perfectionism, either/or thinking, urgency and overworking.

Excited to link arms in this life-changing work.
