CRITICAL RACE THEORY: A free webinar
What you need to know now about CRT. Let’s get ourselves equipped with essential knowledge and understanding.
What is Critical Race Theory?
Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a practice of interrogating race and racism in society. This evolving practice is rooted in legal scholarship and the evidence of continuing racial disparities no matter the American liberal approach to racial justice. Critical Race Theory observes that racism is embedded in our systems and institutions and any scholarship that ignores this reality is actually perpetuating racial hieirarchy. CRT was originally developed by civil rights attorneys, legal scholars, and academics, including Derrick Bell and Patricia Hill Collins.
